About extra instructor Guillaume LEMOINE, We had a great week in Val D'Isere, we were so lucky with the snow. Feedback on our day with Guillaume is excellent and we really enjoyed the day. The choice of lunch location was a complete winner, we loved it! It was a difficult group, as our 3 boarders are fast and do quite a bit of "pseudo off piste" anyway but quite a few of the routes we took with Guillaume, they would not have found on their own - so they were happy too. We had a great session with Alain and picked up lots of good tips. I think we had the worst snow conditions of the whole week the morning we had the guiding so Alain did well to find the better areas. I am now back in the office –so more skiing will be another year away. Damn!!

About Kid groups - Hi Estelle Just a quick note to thank you for organizing the lessons for Luke and Emily last week. It was the second time Luke has been taught by Simon in the last few years and he's made excellent progress both times. Hi Estelle, I just wanted to write an email to say thank you to yourself and all of your ski instructors who were amazing in helping me and my children last week on our holiday in Val d'Isere. They really cared about the children and wanted to make a relationship with them from the moment we met them. We both thought Franck was an excellent guide and instructor – he gave us a very useful morning of technique instruction on the first day and was cheery and enthusiastic throughout. The group seems to be well matched in ability and Tansy is excellent and reinforcing the soft issues such as taking it in turns when you follow the instruct, the person at the back has the important job of being ski patrol and always stopping in a safe place such as the edge of the piste. This was our first lesson in many years. We met up with Edouard Rolland of Mountain Masters for a "break the bad habits" session. We have been skiing for many years but the icy conditions this week were showing up the weaknesses in our technique on the steep stuff. To Alain LEDOUX - Dale, the guy in the red jacket in the photo, spontaneously told me that my skiing has really improved since we last skied in Alaska, this past April. That really tickled my socks off! I can't recall which exact adjectives he used to describe the change, but they are definitely attributable to your instructions. I told him that we started by focusing on breathing....he didn't buy that concept....so I decided to stop there.

About extra instructor Guillaume LEMOINE, Thanks for sorting that. I had a great time with Guillaume. He was an excellent friendly guide who took me to some really interesting places and we found good snow. Guillaume was patient with us but also allowed us to ride big lines if we wanted to. I had a great time and I would use mountain masters again. I am also delighted that Guillaume took a video of the troops and is going to send it to me next week. I've never had a guide offer that before.

We had a wonderful week in Val D’Isere and I wanted to say how impressed I was with the Mountain Masters team. I have had a frustration with a lot of ski schools for providing too many kids per class and lacking structure. However, Yvan and Al were fabulous for Skye, Hector, and Luna. They all loved the classes (which is unusual) and I could see their development every afternoon as I skied with them. We all really appreciated the effort and positive energy they

Mountain Masters are a thoroughly professional but friendly team who helped us have a most enjoyable holiday. They did a great job from finding the best snow/skiing, helping to improve the skills of the whole party from the younger ones (20-30 age group) to the older ones (over 60) and generally making sure we got the most out of our week. We used two guides, Al and Simon, and they are both highly recommended

About kid groups - A big thank you to Al & Frank, who taught both James and Ben, last week. They were fabulous instructors and the boys really loved their groups. Given that the snow conditions were not so great at the beginning of the week, Mountain Masters were still able to give them some great lessons and the fact that they were small groups and such friendly instructors I think made the whole experience so much more worthwhile. Just to let you know we had a fantastic....
Just to let you know we had a fantastic morning. Frank was great and took us to all sorts of places that we probably could have found eventually but it would have taken us days to work out how to get to them. He found some really good untracked runs and whilst the snow was a little on the heavy side it was perfectly skiable. It was a great success and money really well spent.
Just a brief note to let you know how useful Gemma and I found our lessons with Al & Olivier. Both were exceptionally patient and incredibly informative, having a really positive effect on our ability and confidence with the drills they encouraged us to focus on, which we continued to practice throughout the course of the week. Really enjoyed the session with Edouard. The conditions were challenging for me (in some places very challenging) but Edouard was very good at assisting me throughout. Edouard has an excellent coaches eye and provides clear and practical advice to assist in improving technique. The instruction on use of equipment and other aspects of off piste safety was also very good.

Dear Christian, I just wanted to say a big thank you for another fantastic week’s skiing with you in Val D’Isere last week – I really feel I made some good progress (and as we know it’s all about how we feel!) and especially enjoyed l’Epaule and the off piste bits, even though I did them so badly! It’s so reassuring having your orange jacket ahead of me.

in kid groups - Please thank Tansy and Olivier for looking after Christian so well over the last two weeks. His skiing has come on so well with the guidance and skill of the Mountain Masters team and it is a real pleasure to ski with him. We had a great time skiing in Val with Alain LEDOUX! Alain has superb guiding skills and was always able to find the best snow locations. He was very helpful with my wife Sandra skiing some challenging aspects and put together a couple of nice backcountry trips for me. Val is a truly amazing place with so many aspects. Wow! We will be back.

We were delighted with Leo’s lessons, his skiing came along superbly and most of all he loved it. The proof was in the difficulty we had in getting him off the slopes at the end of each day, he would have stayed skiing until dark. Thank you for arranging the lessons for us last week. We all had a fantastic time. Emily and Tom said Edouard was a great instructor. They learned so much and said he was very kind. The ski beyond sessions gave them a different perspective on skiing, but most importantly they had a lot of fun. Of course, Claire was amazing as always and improved our technique no end!

Sienna really enjoyed the lessons with Tansy. She had done some 1-1 lessons in the past and much preferred being in a small group. It works so well because you clearly do a very good job to make sure that everyone is a similar level in the group. Rupert GOLDRING is a fantastic instructor who is always able to find exactly the right way of suggesting improvements. I think probably the reason that I learn so much with him is that he makes me feel totally confident in him and, since skiing is so much about one's state of mind, this is a crucial skill for an instructor to have. Took my two kids skiing, 9 years old - first time and 13 year old 3rd time. I wanted to maximise the time for the kids to learn as much as possible. Estelle, was very helpful and explained it all to me, and the two amazing instructors Edouard, and Christian, were great, patient, and fun, kids has a great time and we were doing reds together by the end of day 2!!!! Hi there Can I say that Tansy was absolutely great! I felt I learned a great deal in 2 hours and was inspired to get out and practise everything. Tansy was very patient, clear and encouraging. If I return to Val d’Isere (and I hope we will) I’d definitely try and book a couple of sessions with Tansy again!!

Both William and Fred enjoyed their lessons and learnt a lot in the week. Fred found Eric a really good teacher – they had lots of interesting conversations and Fred especially enjoyed Eric’s music on his phone – he obviously made lessons fun! William was taught by both Dave and Al: he thought both were good instructors and both helped him. He particularly appreciated Al taking time to explain how he should try to get more parallel rather than simply saying to get more parallel. Overall, both

Amber and Zeb have had a great time in their lessons with Al and Simon and have both improved yet again.
The lesson was absolutely brilliant, both my brother and I were incredibly happy that we decided to book it as it helped no end with our skiing throughout the rest of the week. Simon was fantastic, articulate and made perfect sense in all that he was trying to explain. We both felt particularly confident in his teaching and much safer with his guidance. Having not skied for over 10 years la Face seemed like an easy run having taken on board what was being said. We’ll both happily recommend

I thought Olivier was great. He really got me going on my skis again with simple and helpful instruction and even got me down the Face. We had a great morning too on our boards which was fun and full of laughter!
I only had 1 lesson this week (the one with Christian St JEAN) and it was great! The perfect way to start what was a very enjoyable week! Thanks

Hi Phil I have had the most amazing time skiing with you this week. I still can't quite believe what you have taught me to accomplish on skis. The Face-my ambition for the week conquered on day 4. I spent this afternoon with the people from my chalet. I'm faster than some of them now and fall over less often. I'm going out skiing tomorrow and feel confident that where ever they chose to go that I will be able to follow. I hope to see you again next year. Best wishes

I’m back in my office in the UK now sifting through hundreds for e-mails, (no joy!). My son Elliot spent a week with Philippe Raoux and his skiing advanced more it than one week than the previous four years of group lessons. He genuinely enjoys teaching and makes his lesson fun. We look forward to using Philippe again next year.

We are now back in London and missing VIS and the skiing. This was our first skiing trip since our honeymoon in Meribel, 27 years ago! We were both anxious about being able to enjoy the week, but Edouard made it all possible. He was very calm and professional. He immediately put us at ease and assessed what we could and couldn’t do. Dear Mountain Masters, My family was fortunate to spend a week in Tignes from 5th April. Only one of us had ever ski'ed before and that had been while in school over twenty years before. We booked an instructor with you for three days from 6th - 8th April and were fortunate to be taught by Severine Remondet. We just wanted to put in writing our admiration and thanks to Seve. Eric was mainly teaching my two teenage sons, Ben (16) and Con (14). He was very good with them, not too bossy and seemed to understand their mind-set! One small thing is that he did a lot of guiding them down runs but they both said to me when I asked them that maybe a little more actual tuition would have been good. But they didn't mention this to me when the lessons were going on so I didn't have the chance to feed it back to Eric. He's a great guy and we would use him again next time and
