Craig Halliday

While Craig has been a keen skier and racer from the age of 3 his journey through ski instructing started in the year 2000 on the dry ski slopes in Glasgow. It wasn’t long before seasons in the Alps became his career; finally settling in the beautiful resort of Val d’Isere in 2011. Craig’s passion for skiing and helping others achieve their goals has only increased throughout this time. Whether it’s patient support to tackle your first green run or time to try something new off-piste, Craig is keen for you to have the best time possible on the mountain.

Before settling in Val d’Isere; Craig has been fortunate to teach and coach skiing across the world in places such as Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland and his native Scotland (it’s fun as long as you avoid the rocks and heather).

He not only holds the highest British Alpine Snowsports Instructors level 4 ISTD instructor qualification with French equivalence but also works as a BASI Alpine Trainer running both training and examinations for prospective ski instructors. This role keeps Craig’s knowledge of ski teaching and ski technique at the forefront of the sport.

Outside of skiing you will likely find Craig following one of his many other sporting passions such as Golf, Football or the most painful hobby of following Scottish Rugby. This last one often requiring a quick return to the Alps to recover.

Craig looks forward to skiing with you this coming season and helping you and your family enjoy your time on the mountain.
